a month past and my thoughts on Nashville
Meh. That’s right I said meh. Now don’t get me wrong, this place has plenty of great qualities I am sure of it. Don’t ask me what those are just yet though. I haven’t been here nearly long enough to fully experience it just yet. All the locals keep telling me to wait for the winter. I am not really looking forward to freezing my nuts off, but in the spirit of all that is new I will gladly give it a shot. It’s not like I have a choice in the matter.
I have come to realize that people out here DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DRIVE. I have seen more accidents in one week than I think I have in 6 months in Phoenix. It is simply nuts how bad people drive out here. If this whole physical therapy thing doesn’t work out, I am going to open up a body shop out here. Cha Ching!
I did check out one of the state parks. Radnor Lake. I liked it. Small, but very nice and peaceful. It has a few nice trails, nothing too strenuous but a place to go and de-stress if you need to.
They do have a minor league baseball team, the Sounds. I think its the Brewers farm club, I want to say AA… but I’m not 100% sure on that one. I still haven’t seen a game, but I will soon.
I move from a town with one shitty football team to another town with a mediocre football team. Yeah they did alright last year, but why couldn’t I get like Pats, or Cowboys. Oh well, I guess any team is better than the Cards, so I should be happy.
I met another neighbor last week. He is a portly fellow named Frank. I first met him walking from the parking lot to his apt shirtless with his MASSIVE gut just hanging out. He was carrying a 12-pack of beer. He offered me one and I accepted. So we chatted for a few minutes. Good times.
Back to studying I go!
