well its been nearly 4 months and no new posts. slack much??? Id say so!
well really no excuse except for being too busy. too much to do with not enough hours in the day. finals are coming up in 2 weeks, I cannot believe 2 years have gone by this fast!
busy with rehabstudents.com and packing up my apt here, so hopefully I can find time to play around on here some more!

Ok, well actually the new year started in June but still! I really only have 9 full months of actual in class education and then the rest is a mix between clinical rotations and some short courses thrown in between. So needless to say I am pumped!!!
The my first clinical was good, definitely an experience. I thought I was originally going to a retirement home, but instead I worked at a long term care facility. WAY different!
The staff was great, and the patients were amazing. I learned so many things that I could never have gotten in a classroom. Having that hands on experience is something everyone needs. Its one thing to read about it in a book, but completely different when it comes time to apply all that theoretical knowledge.
I have been really slacking on the blog, although the 5 weeks in NC left me with a sporadic internet connection… shitty excuse I know but I’m sticking to it!
I got to spend some quality time with the mother. It was nice being able to spend that much time, it let us catch up on everything and I think brought us a little closer.
Tonya and I head to FL on Friday! Jackpot!! Her uncle lives on Coco Beach and works for NASA. So as long as hurricane Bill stays away we will get some beach time and then get to see the space launch pad and museum. Very excited!!
I was trying to come up with a new blog layout but I just can seem to find one that I like. I will keep looking so don’t be too surprised if this blog looks different in a few weeks.
With it being November many of my male classmates as well as myself decided to partake in growing a beard for National Beard Month. I know we are almost halfway through Nov. but I just now have had some free time to write about my furry facial endeavor. Its coming along nicely, I still have a key spot that I can’t seem to grow any hair and that would be where the “soul patch” would go. Its horrible! My neck seems to grow 2x as fast as the rest of my face so I am keeping myself well groomed.
Tonya is completely disgusted by me right now. It was kind of funny but now its getting a little annoying. Do I comment about her appearance?? NO. Oh well. I’m digging the beard, I think I might keep it for the winter. I can use all of the insulating I can find.
*notice the bare patch of skin below the lips. Yeah not doing that on purpose!
I have nothing noteworthy to write today. We had some field trip to Holland medical. They sell and service wheel chairs. That was pretty neat. They went over all the latest and greatest in wheel chairs and the all the cool addons. Yeah that was about it. I had a sore throat for the past few days and its finally starting to get better. It just a miserable feeling having a sore throat. It sucks!!!
School is almost over for the fall. Only 1 month to go until I get a full month off!!! Joy! I am looking for tickets and a good time to come home, it depends a lot on Tonya and when she can get time off. But I should be home soon. Its been a little while so I am looking forward to that.
